Privacy Policy

Prolific Advisory Solutions Pty Ltd (AFSL 557166) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we and the advisers authorised under our licence collect, use, store and disclose your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

To provide financial advice we collect information such as your name, contact details, date of birth, employment, income, assets and liabilities, superannuation and insurance details, tax file number (where needed), and your goals. Where relevant to insurance advice, we may collect health information, which we only collect with your consent.

How we collect it

We collect information directly from you in meetings, by phone, email, forms and through this website. With your permission, we may also collect it from third parties such as your accountant, super fund or product providers.

How we use it

• To understand your circumstances and give you appropriate advice
• To implement recommendations and manage your products and services
• To meet our legal obligations, including anti-money laundering, taxation and financial services laws
• To respond to your enquiries and keep you informed

Who we share it with

We may disclose your information to product issuers, paraplanners, compliance and audit providers, IT and administration service providers, and regulators, where needed to provide our services or meet the law. We never sell your personal information.

Some services, including the preparation of financial advice documents, may involve disclosing your personal information to service providers outside Australia, including in Malaysia and the Philippines. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected.

If you choose not to provide information

You don't have to give us your personal information. If you choose not to, your adviser will explain how this could affect the quality of their advice, and they may not be able to give you the advice you need.

Keeping it secure

We store information securely in physical and electronic form and restrict access to authorised people. We keep records of the advice we give you for at least seven years, as the law requires, then destroy or de-identify them securely.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you by contacting us. We'll respond within a reasonable time, usually 30 days.
